The Sun Hydraulics RPESLQN (Material Number: RPESLQN) is a pilot-operated, balanced-poppet relief cartridge designed to serve as a normally closed pressure regulating valve. It operates by opening to tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the valve setting, effectively throttling flow to regulate pressure. This valve is noted for its accuracy, smooth operation, quiet performance, rapid response time of approximately 7 ms, and low-pressure rise versus flow characteristics. The design ensures immunity to cavitation issues such as noise and manifold erosion due to the modulating action occurring within the cartridge itself.
