The Sun Hydraulics RPESYAN (RPESYAN) is a pilot-operated, balanced-poppet relief cartridge designed to regulate pressure by opening to tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 reaches the set pressure. This valve is renowned for its accuracy, smooth operation, quietness, speed, and low pressure rise versus flow. The internal modulating feature makes it resistant to cavitation-related issues such as noise and manifold erosion. It can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits. The valve's performance remains stable despite varying oil temperatures and contamination, thanks in part to a 150-micron stainless steel screen protecting the main stage orifice. This model is ideal for load-holding applications and allows back pressure on tank port 2 to add directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. Adjustment options with W and Y controls are available with or without special settings; without special settings, adjustments can be made across the full range. The valve features Sun's floating style construction, minimizing internal binding risks due to installation torque or machining variations.
