The Sun Hydraulics RPESYBN (RPESYBN) is a pilot-operated, balanced-poppet relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This valve remains normally closed until the inlet port pressure reaches a predetermined setting, at which point it begins to open and throttle flow to the tank port, effectively managing system pressure. Known for its accuracy, smooth operation, and rapid response time of approximately 7 milliseconds, this relief cartridge minimizes noise and manifold erosion typically associated with cavitation. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen and is suitable for cross port relief circuits due to its ability to handle maximum pressure at port 2. Additionally, the valve's performance remains stable despite variations in oil temperature or contamination levels. The RPESYBN model is particularly adept in load-holding applications and allows for back pressure on the tank port to be directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
