The Sun Hydraulics RPGEJQN (RPGEJQN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve is engineered for rapid opening and closing, prioritizing speed over smoothness. When the inlet port 1 reaches the valve setting pressure, the valve opens to tank port 2, throttling flow to manage pressure rise efficiently. It features low pressure rise versus flow characteristics and exceptional responsiveness with a typical response time of 2 milliseconds. The RPGEJQN model is physically and functionally interchangeable with all other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size, making it versatile for various applications.
