The Sun Hydraulics RPGEKNN (RPGEKNN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve is engineered for rapid response, with typical response times of around 2 milliseconds, providing effective protection by throttling flow once the inlet pressure reaches the valve setting. The valve features a low pressure rise versus flow, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring quick opening and closing actions. It fits into the T-3A cavity and can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar), with a capacity of up to 50 gpm (200 L/min). This relief cartridge is interchangeable with other two-port relief cartridges within the same frame size, maintaining consistent flow paths and cavity requirements. It's important to note that while it accepts maximum pressure at port 2 and can be used in cross-port relief circuits, spool leakage should be considered in such configurations.
