The Sun Hydraulics RPGEMBV (RPGEMBV) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. These cartridges are normally closed and serve as pressure-limiting valves that open rapidly but may sacrifice smoothness for speed. As the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the set valve threshold, the valve opens to tank port 2, throttling flow to limit further pressure rise. Notably, these valves exhibit low pressure rise versus flow and operate with exceptional speed. The RPGEMBV model is interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size in terms of flow path and cavity compatibility.
