The Sun Hydraulics RPGEOGN (RPGEOGN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This valve is normally closed and functions as a pressure-limiting device that opens to the tank port when the inlet pressure reaches the set point, effectively throttling flow to control pressure rise. Known for its rapid response and low pressure rise versus flow characteristics, this valve is suitable for use in cross-port relief circuits but should be used with caution due to spool leakage, making it unsuitable for load holding applications.
