The Sun Hydraulics RPGEOJN (RPGEOJN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens quickly upon reaching the preset pressure at inlet port 1, diverting flow to tank port 2 to control pressure rise. It features low pressure rise versus flow and rapid response times, making it ideal for applications requiring quick pressure relief. The valve is interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size and flow path, and can handle maximum pressure at port 2, suitable for cross-port relief circuits. Fast opening and closing is gained at the expense of smoothness. When the pressure at the inlet (port 1) reaches the valve setting, the valve starts to open to tank (port 2), throttling flow to limit the pressure rise.
