The Sun Hydraulics RPGETSV (Material Number: RPGETSV) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to safeguard hydraulic components from pressure transients. It functions as a normally closed, pressure-limiting valve that opens to the tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 reaches the set pressure, thereby throttling flow to control pressure rise. This cartridge is known for its rapid response and low-pressure rise relative to flow, making it highly efficient in applications where speed is critical. The valve can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and has a typical response time of just 2 milliseconds. The RPGETSV is versatile in its application, being physically and functionally interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size.
