The Sun Hydraulics RPICQWV (RPICQWV) is a pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. When the inlet port pressure reaches the valve's set point, it opens to the tank port, throttling flow to maintain desired pressure levels. Known for their accuracy, these valves offer a low-pressure rise versus flow and operate smoothly and quietly with moderate speed. They can accept maximum pressure at port 2 and are suitable for cross-port relief circuits, though users should consider spool leakage in such applications. Pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridges are normally closed pressure regulating valves. When the pressure at the inlet (port 1) reaches the valve setting, the valve starts to open to tank (port 2), throttling flow to regulate the pressure. These valves are accurate, have low pressure rise vs. flow, they are smooth and quiet, and are moderately fast.
