The Sun Hydraulics RPICWWV (RPICWWV) is a pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This valve remains normally closed until the inlet port pressure reaches the preset level, at which point it opens to the tank port to regulate flow and maintain consistent pressure. Known for its accuracy and low-pressure rise relative to flow, the RPICWWV ensures smooth and quiet operation with moderate response speed. It can handle maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits, though spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The valve's main stage orifice is protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability. However, it is not recommended for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage. Back pressure on the tank port directly affects the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio. Pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridges are normally closed pressure regulating valves. When the pressure at the inlet (port 1) reaches the valve setting, the valve starts to open to tank (port 2), throttling flow to regulate the pressure. These valves are accurate, have low pressure rise vs. flow, they are smooth and quiet, and are moderately fast.

  • Will accept maximum pressure at port 2; suitable for use in cross port relief circuits. If used in cross port relief circuits, consider spool leakage.
