The Sun Hydraulics RPIEMEN (RPIEMEN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens quickly to manage pressure spikes by throttling flow from the inlet port 1 to the tank port 2 when the set pressure is reached. It features a low-pressure rise versus flow and operates with remarkable speed, making it suitable for applications where rapid response is critical. The valve's design allows for interchangeability with other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size, facilitating easy integration into existing systems. It can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is appropriate for use in cross-port relief circuits, though spool leakage should be considered in such applications.
