The Sun Hydraulics RQCBCAN (RQCBCAN) is a kickdown relief cartridge that functions similarly to a circuit breaker in an electrical system. Designed for use on the actuator side of hydraulic systems, this valve opens completely and remains open once the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds the set threshold, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to tank port 2. The valve resets only when flow ceases and pressure at port 2 is equal to or greater than at port 1. Not suitable for load holding applications, it requires pump flow cessation for resetting if used on the pump side. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability. With a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and a capacity of 12 gpm (45 L/min), it features a response time of approximately 25 ms. The valve's design incorporates Sun's floating style construction to reduce internal part binding risks due to excessive installation torque or machining variations.
