The Sun Hydraulics RQCBCWN (RQCBCWN) is a kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in an electrical system. This valve kicks completely open and remains open once the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds its set point, creating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to tank port 2. The valve stays open as long as the pressure at port 1 surpasses that at port 2. To reset, flow from port 1 to port 2 must stop, and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than that at port 1. The main stage orifice is shielded by a durable 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring reliable performance. However, it is not suitable for load-holding applications and is intended for use on the actuator side of hydraulic systems. If applied on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting. Notably, back pressure on tank port 2 directly adds to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio. The design features Sun\u2019s floating style construction to minimize internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations.
