The Sun Hydraulics RQCBKBV (Material Number: RQCBKBV) is a kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in hydraulic systems. This valve is engineered to open completely and maintain an open state once the pressure at the inlet port 1 surpasses the valve's set threshold, thereby establishing an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to tank port 2. The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2. To reset, flow from port 1 to port 2 must stop, and the pressure at port 2 should be equal to or greater than that at port 1. The main stage orifice of this cartridge is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and performance. This relief cartridge is not intended for load-holding applications and should be used on the actuator side of a system since flow through the valve must cease for reset. If used on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting. Notably, back pressure on tank port 2 directly adds to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio. It features Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal part binding due to installation torque or machining variations.
