The Sun Hydraulics RQCBKCV (Material Number: RQCBKCV) is a kickdown relief cartridge that functions similarly to a circuit breaker in an electrical system. When the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting, the valve kicks completely open, creating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to tank port 2. It remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 is greater than at port 2. To reset, flow from port 1 to port 2 must stop, and pressure at port 2 must equal or exceed that at port 1. Notably, this valve is not suitable for load-holding applications and should be used on the actuator side of systems where flow through the valve can cease for resetting purposes.
