The Sun Hydraulics RQCBLBV (RQCBLBV) is a kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in hydraulic systems. This valve is engineered to open completely and remain open when the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses its set threshold, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to tank port 2. It stays open as long as the pressure differential between ports 1 and 2 remains, requiring the cessation of flow for resetting. The main stage orifice of this valve is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring operational integrity. It is crucial to note that this valve is not suitable for load-holding applications and should be used on the actuator side of a system. If applied on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting. The back pressure on tank port 2 directly adds to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. This model incorporates Sun's floating style construction, minimizing the risk of internal part binding due to excessive torque or machining variations. The RQCBLBV has a capacity of 12 gpm (45 L/min) and can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar).
