The Sun Hydraulics RQCBLQV (RQCBLQV) is a kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in an electrical system. This valve opens completely and remains open once the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses the valve setting, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to tank port 2. The valve stays open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2, requiring flow cessation and equal or greater pressure at port 2 for resetting. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, making it unsuitable for load-holding applications. It's intended for use on the actuator side of a system because flow must stop for the valve to reset; if used on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting.
