The Sun Hydraulics RQEBJCV (RQEBJCV) is a kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in hydraulic systems. This valve opens completely and stays open when the inlet pressure at port 1 surpasses the set threshold, allowing an unrestricted flow from port 1 to tank port 2. It remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 is higher than at port 2. To reset, the flow must stop, and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than at port 1. The main stage orifice is shielded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability in various conditions. However, it is not suitable for load-holding applications and should be used on the actuator side of a system since flow cessation is necessary for resetting. If applied on a pump side, the pump flow must halt for resetting. The valve's back pressure on tank port 2 adds directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
