The Sun Hydraulics RQGBFBV (RQGBFBV) is a kickdown relief cartridge valve designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in hydraulic systems. This valve is engineered to open fully and remain open once the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses the set threshold, enabling an unrestricted flow from port 1 to tank port 2. The RQGBFBV remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2, and it resets when flow ceases and the pressure at port 2 equals or exceeds that at port 1. This model is specifically intended for use on the actuator side of hydraulic systems, as flow through the valve must stop for it to reset. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen and is not suitable for load-holding applications. The valve's design incorporates Sun's floating style construction, minimizing potential internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds the pressure at port 2. To reset the valve, flow from port 1 to port 2 must cease and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than the pressure at port 1.

  • All 2-port relief cartridges (except pilot reliefs) are physically and functionally interchangeable (same flow path, same cavity for a given frame size).
