The Sun Hydraulics RQGBKDV (RQGBKDV) is a kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in hydraulic systems. This valve activates by kicking completely open and remaining open when the pressure at the inlet port 1 surpasses the pre-set threshold, allowing an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to tank port 2. The valve stays open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2. To reset, flow from port 1 to port 2 must stop, and the pressure at port 2 should be equal to or greater than that at port 1. With a capacity of up to 50 gpm (200 L/min) and a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar), this cartridge is suitable for various applications where quick response times are crucial, typically around 25 ms. The main stage orifice is protected by a stainless steel screen with a mesh size of 150 microns, ensuring durability and reliability in operation. The valves will kick completely open and remain open once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) exceeds the valve settting, creating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to tank (port 2). The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds the pressure at port 2. To reset the valve, flow from port 1 to port 2 must cease and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than the pressure at port 1.
