The Sun Hydraulics RQKBCEV (RQKBCEV) is a kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in an electrical system. It activates by kicking completely open and remains open when the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses its set threshold, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to tank port 2. The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 is greater than at port 2. To reset, the flow must stop, and the pressure at port 2 must equal or exceed that of port 1. This product features compatibility across all two-port relief cartridges, except pilot reliefs, with interchangeable flow paths and cavities for a given frame size. The main stage orifice is protected by a stainless steel screen with a 150-micron rating, ensuring durability and reliability in various environments. This cartridge is intended for use on the actuator side of hydraulic systems since flow through the valve must cease for it to reset; if used on the pump side, pump flow needs to be halted for resetting. The back pressure on tank port 2 adds directly to the valve setting at a ratio of 1:1. The response time is typically around 25 ms with minimal leakage under standard conditions.
