The Sun Hydraulics RQKBKAN (Material Number: RQKBKAN) is a specialized kickdown relief cartridge designed to function similarly to a circuit breaker in hydraulic systems. When the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve setting, this valve fully opens, allowing an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to tank port 2. The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2. To reset, the flow must stop, and the pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than that at port 1. This cartridge is interchangeable with other two-port relief cartridges of the same frame size and features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen. It is not suitable for load holding applications and should be used on the actuator side of systems since flow cessation is required for resetting.
