The Sun Hydraulics RSBCCWN (RSBCCWN) is a pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses the valve setting. The sequence valve's pressure setting regulates the pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3, remaining unaffected by back pressure at port 2 up to the valve setting. This feature allows it to regulate pressure in lieu of 2-port relief valves when there is return line pressure. The RSBCCWN model offers functional and physical interchangeability across all 3-port sequence cartridges, ensuring consistency in flow path and cavity size for a given frame. As inlet pressure at port 1 rises above the valve setting relative to drain port 3, pilot flow increases accordingly. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, with minimum settings starting at 75 psi for all spring ranges. Pressure at port 3 adds directly to the valve setting on a one-to-one basis and should not exceed 5000 psi. The RSBCCWN is unsuitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage and should be used with EPDM seals in systems containing phosphate ester fluids, avoiding petroleum-based substances that may damage seals. Pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valves will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. The pressure setting of a sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the pressure at the drain (port 3). These valves are insensitive to back pressure at port 2 (sequence), up to the valve setting. They may be used to regulate pressure in place of 2-port relief valves if there is pressure in the return line.
