The Sun Hydraulics RSBCCWV (RSBCCWV) is a pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port pressure exceeds the valve setting. This valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3 and is insensitive to back pressure at port 2 up to the valve setting. It can regulate pressure in place of 2-port relief valves when there is return line pressure. The RSBCCWV model features interchangeable 3-port sequence cartridges, ensuring consistent flow paths and cavity compatibility for a given frame size. As inlet pressure at port 1 increases relative to drain pressure at port 3, pilot flow continues to rise above the valve setting. The main stage orifice is protected by a robust 150-micron stainless steel screen, and all spring ranges have a minimum setting of 75 psi (5 bar). The maximum allowable pressure at port 3 should not exceed 5000 psi (350 bar), as it directly adds to the valve setting on a 1:1 ratio. However, this model is not suitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage. Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are intended for systems using phosphate ester fluids, as petroleum-based fluids will damage these seals. Pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valves will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. The pressure setting of a sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the pressure at the drain (port 3). These valves are insensitive to back pressure at port 2 (sequence), up to the valve setting.
