The Sun Hydraulics RSDSCNV (RSDSCNV) is a pilot-operated, balanced poppet sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting. This valve effectively controls the pressure at port 1 in relation to the drain port 3 and remains unaffected by back pressure at port 2, up to the valve setting. It can regulate pressure similarly to 2-port relief valves when there is return line pressure. All three-port sequence cartridges are interchangeable in terms of flow path and cavity for a given frame size, offering versatility in application. The valve features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen and can handle pressures at port 3 up to 5000 psi (350 bar), which are directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. This makes it suitable for load-holding applications. The RSDSCNV is immune to cavitation-related issues such as noise and manifold erosion due to its internal modulation mechanism. It accommodates maximum pressure at port 2, making it apt for use in cross-port relief circuits.
