The Sun Hydraulics RSFSCAV (RSFSCAV) is a pilot-operated, balanced poppet sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds the valve setting. This valve effectively controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3, remaining insensitive to back pressure at port 2 up to the valve setting. It is ideal for applications requiring load holding and can be used in place of 2-port relief valves when there's pressure in the return line. The RSFSCAV features interchangeable 3-port sequence cartridges, ensuring compatibility across similar frame sizes with identical flow paths and cavities. As pressure at port 1 increases relative to port 3, pilot flow continues to rise beyond the valve setting. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, and pressure at port 3 directly adds to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio, not exceeding 5000 psi (350 bar). This model incorporates Sun's floating style construction, reducing internal binding risks due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. It supports maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits. With a capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min) and a typical response time of just 10 ms, this sequence valve ensures efficient operation. Its leakage rate upon reseat is minimal at only ten drops per minute (0.7 cc/min). The RSFSCAV also includes user-friendly adjustments with five clockwise turns needed to increase settings and comes equipped with Viton seals for enhanced durability under various conditions.
