The Sun Hydraulics RSHCCBN (RSHCCBN) is a pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet pressure at port 1 exceeds the valve setting. This sequence valve regulates the pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3, remaining unaffected by back pressure at port 2 up to the valve setting. It is suitable for regulating pressure in place of 2-port relief valves when there is pressure in the return line. All three-port sequence cartridges are interchangeable in terms of flow path and cavity size for a given frame size. As the inlet pressure at port 1 rises above the valve setting, pilot flow increases correspondingly. A key feature includes a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, with the pressure at port 3 directly adding to the valve setting at a ratio of 1:1, not exceeding a maximum of 5000 psi (350 bar). However, it is not suitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage. The RSHCCBN incorporates Sun's floating style construction to minimize binding risks from excessive installation torque or machining variations.
