The Sun Hydraulics RSHCCWN (RSHCCWN) is a pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds the valve setting. This valve is ideal for controlling pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3, remaining unaffected by back pressure at port 2 up to the valve setting. It can serve as a substitute for two-port relief valves when pressure exists in the return line. The RSHCCWN model features interchangeable three-port sequence cartridges, allowing for consistent flow paths and cavity compatibility across different frame sizes. It includes a 150-micron stainless steel screen protecting the main stage orifice and has an additive pressure capacity at port 3 of up to 5000 psi (350 bar). However, it is not suitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage. The RSHCCWN allows for adjustable settings using W or Y controls unless a special setting is specified, which represents its maximum setting capability. Pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valves will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. The pressure setting of a sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the pressure at the drain (port 3). These valves are insensitive to back pressure at port 2 (sequence), up to the valve setting. They may be used to regulate pressure in place of 2-port relief valves if there is pressure in the return line.
