The Sun Hydraulics RSHCQNV (RSHCQNV) is a pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port pressure exceeds the valve setting. It regulates pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3 and is insensitive to back pressure at port 2, up to the valve setting. This model can replace two-port relief valves if there is return line pressure. The RSHCQNV features interchangeable three-port sequence cartridges, ensuring compatibility in flow path and cavity for a given frame size. As the inlet pressure rises above the valve setting, pilot flow increases accordingly. A 150-micron stainless steel screen protects the main stage orifice. The pressure at port 3 adds directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio, with a maximum limit of 5000 psi (350 bar). However, this valve is not suitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage.
