The Sun Hydraulics RSJSCNN (RSJSCNN) is a pilot-operated, balanced poppet sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting. This sequence valve precisely controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the pressure at drain port 3, remaining unaffected by back pressure at port 2 up to its setting. It can replace two-port relief valves if there's pressure in the return line. All three-port sequence cartridges are interchangeable in terms of flow path and cavity size for a given frame size. As the pressure at port 1 increases relative to port 3, pilot flow continues to rise above the valve setting. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, and pressure at port 3 adds directly to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio without exceeding 5000 psi (350 bar). The internal modulation of these valves makes them resistant to cavitation-related issues such as noise and manifold erosion. They can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and are suitable for cross-port relief circuits. Featuring Sun's floating style construction, these valves minimize potential binding of internal parts due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. With a capacity of up to 120 gpm (480 L/min) and maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar), this model offers reliable performance with quick response times typical around 2 ms. It includes adjustable settings through a screw with an internal hex size of 5/32 inches, secured with a locknut that requires specific torque values for optimal operation.
