The Sun Hydraulics RVCALYN (Material Number: RVCALYN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. These normally closed valves begin to open to tank port 2 when the inlet pressure at port 1 reaches the preset level, effectively throttling flow to maintain the desired pressure. The valve features a vent port (port 3) that allows for remote control via other pilot or two-way valves. Known for their accuracy and low-pressure rise versus flow characteristics, these valves operate smoothly and quietly with moderate speed. The RVCALYN model is capable of handling maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits, though spool leakage should be considered in such applications.
