The Sun Hydraulics RVCDLEN (RVCDLEN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge with an external drain. This normally closed pressure regulating valve opens to tank port 2 when the pressure at inlet port 1 reaches the valve setting, effectively throttling flow to regulate pressure. The design includes a vent port 3 for remote control by other pilot or 2-way valves and a drain port 4 to ensure insensitivity to back pressure. Known for accuracy and low-pressure rise versus flow, these valves operate smoothly and quietly with moderate speed. A remote pilot relief on port 3 can control the valve below its own setting. It is suitable for cross-port relief circuits but not for load-holding applications due to spool leakage considerations. The main stage orifice is protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, and it can accept maximum pressure at port 2.
