The Sun Hydraulics RVEACLN (RVEACLN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to function as a normally closed pressure regulating valve. It activates when the pressure at the inlet port 1 reaches the preset level, opening to tank port 2 and throttling flow to maintain the desired pressure. This model features a vent port 3, allowing for remote control via other pilot or two-way valves. Known for its accuracy and low-pressure rise versus flow characteristics, it offers smooth and quiet operation with moderate response speed. A notable feature is its ability to accept maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits; however, spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen. It is important to note that this valve is not suitable for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage. The back pressure on tank port 2 directly influences the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
