The Sun Hydraulics RVEAKAN (RVEAKAN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed as a pressure regulating valve. This device remains normally closed until the pressure at inlet port 1 reaches the predetermined valve setting. Once this threshold is reached, it begins to open towards tank port 2, effectively throttling flow to maintain regulated pressure levels. It features a vent port 3 that facilitates remote control through other pilot or two-way valves. Known for its accuracy and low pressure rise versus flow characteristics, the RVEAKAN operates smoothly and quietly while offering moderate speed in response time. It can accept maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits; however, spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability. However, it is not advisable for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage.
