The Sun Hydraulics RVEALDE (RVEALDE) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation. This valve remains normally closed until the inlet pressure at port 1 reaches a predetermined setting, at which point it opens to tank port 2 to throttle flow and regulate pressure effectively. A vent port 3 is provided to allow remote control via other pilot or two-way valves. Known for its accuracy and low pressure rise versus flow, this valve operates smoothly and quietly with moderate speed. The remote pilot relief on port 3 can control the valve below its own setting, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits while considering spool leakage. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, although it is not suitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage. The RVEALDE can handle maximum pressures of up to 5000 psi (350 bar) and has a capacity of 30 gpm (120 L/min). It features a factory pressure setting established at 4 gpm (15 L/min), with an adjustment range that requires up to five clockwise turns to increase the setting. The valve exhibits minimal leakage, with a maximum of 3 in\u00b3/min at 1000 psi (50 cc/min at 70 bar) when using fluid viscosity of 110 SUS (24 cSt). Installation requires specific torque settings: valve installation torque ranges from 45-50 lbf ft (61-68 Nm), while the locknut torque is between 80-90 lbf in (9-10 Nm).
