The Sun Hydraulics RVEALGV (Material Number: RVEALGV) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge. These valves are designed as normally closed pressure regulating devices that open to tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the set threshold, thereby regulating flow and maintaining desired pressure levels. They feature a vent port 3 that allows for remote control by other pilot or two-way valves. Known for their accuracy and low-pressure rise versus flow characteristics, these valves offer smooth and quiet operation with moderate response speed. The RVEALGV valve can handle maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits; however, spool leakage should be considered in such applications. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen but is not recommended for load-holding applications due to spool leakage concerns. Back pressure on tank port 2 is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
