The Sun Hydraulics RVEBUBV (RVEBUBV) is a three-port normally closed modulating element designed to provide dual functionality when used with an external orifice. Serving as a bypass compensator, it manages priority flow into a circuit by directing excess input flow to tank port 2. If the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses the valve's set threshold, it functions as a conventional relief valve. The compensating pressure for all ranges is set at 120 psi (8 bar), and the valve's capacity and performance are determined solely by the bypass flow, independent of control flow. For adjustability, W and Y controls can be specified with or without special settings; without special settings, the valve remains adjustable throughout its range. With a factory pressure setting established at 4 gpm (15 L/min) and maximum operating pressure up to 5000 psi (350 bar), this model offers efficient response times of approximately 10 ms. Three-port normally closed modulating elements with relief provide two functions when combined with an external orifice. If the inlet (port 1) pressure rises to the valve setting, the valve operates as a normal relief valve.
