The Sun Hydraulics RVESCAN (Material Number: RVESCAN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced poppet relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This valve remains closed until the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds the preset threshold, at which point it opens to tank port 2 to throttle flow and maintain desired pressure levels. Featuring a vent port 3 between the main piston and pilot stage, it allows for remote control via other pilot or two-way valves. Known for its accuracy, low-pressure rise versus flow characteristics, smooth operation, and moderate response speed, this valve effectively mitigates issues related to cavitation such as noise and manifold erosion.
