The Sun Hydraulics RVGDLBN (RVGDLBN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge equipped with an external drain, designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This valve is normally closed and begins to open to tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the preset level, effectively throttling flow to maintain the desired pressure. It features a vent port (port 3) for remote control by other pilot or two-way valves and a drain port (port 4) that ensures insensitivity to back pressure. The RVGDLBN valve is known for its accuracy, low pressure rise versus flow characteristics, smooth operation, quiet performance, and moderate response speed. This relief cartridge is capable of handling maximum pressures at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits, although spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice includes a protective 150-micron stainless steel screen. However, it is not recommended for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage. Additionally, the pressure at port 4 directly adds to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio and should not exceed 5000 psi (350 bar).
