The Sun Hydraulics RVGSLCV (RVGSLCV) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced-poppet relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This valve remains closed under normal conditions and begins to open when the inlet port pressure reaches the predetermined setting, directing flow to the tank port to maintain stable pressure levels. It features a vent port that facilitates remote control by other pilot or two-way valves, making it suitable for load-holding applications where zero leak from the vent port is critical. With its design, this valve minimizes issues related to cavitation, such as noise and manifold erosion, ensuring smooth and quiet operation. Ventable, pilot-operated, balanced-poppet relief cartridges are normally closed pressure regulating valves. When the pressure at the inlet (port 1) reaches the valve setting, the valve starts to open to tank (port 2), throttling flow to regulate the pressure. They provide a vent port (port 3) that connects between the main piston and pilot stage to provide for remote control by other pilot or 2-way valves. These valves are accurate, have low pressure rise vs. flow, they are smooth and quiet, and are moderately fast.
