The Sun Hydraulics RVIAKNV (RVIAKNV) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This valve remains normally closed and begins to open when the inlet port pressure reaches the preset level, allowing flow to the tank port while maintaining regulated pressure. It features a vent port that enables remote control through other pilot or two-way valves. Known for its accuracy and low pressure rise versus flow characteristics, this valve operates smoothly and quietly with moderate response speed. It is capable of accepting maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits, though spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is shielded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen to prevent contamination. It's important to note that the relief valve setting must always exceed the pilot valve setting.
