The Sun Hydraulics RVIBKBN (RVIBKBN) is a versatile hydraulic component designed as a three-port normally closed modulating element with relief capabilities. This model is engineered to provide dual functions when used in conjunction with an external orifice. Primarily, it operates as a bypass compensator, regulating a priority flow into the circuit while diverting any excess input flow to tank port 2. Additionally, if the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve's preset threshold, it functions as a standard relief valve. The compensating pressure across all ranges is set at 90 psi (6 bar). The performance curve of this valve illustrates that its capacity and performance are determined by bypass flow rather than control flow, with system pressure displayed on the X-axis and pressure differential across the control orifice on the Y-axis.
