The Sun Hydraulics RVIDCBV (RVIDCBV) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge valve with an external drain, designed to function as a normally closed pressure regulating valve. When the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the pre-set level, it opens to tank port 2, throttling flow to maintain the desired pressure. It features a vent port 3 for remote control by other pilot or two-way valves and a drain port 4 that makes it insensitive to back pressure. This valve is known for its accuracy, low-pressure rise versus flow, smooth operation, quiet performance, and moderate speed. The RVIDCBV can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for use in cross-port relief circuits; however, spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen. It is not recommended for load-holding applications due to spool leakage.
