The Sun Hydraulics RVISKAN (Material Number: RVISKAN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced poppet relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation. This valve remains normally closed and begins to open at the inlet port 1 once the preset pressure is reached, directing flow to tank port 2 to maintain a stable system pressure. It features a vent port 3 that allows for remote control via other pilot or two-way valves, making it suitable for load-holding applications provided any valving on the vent port is zero leak. The RVISKAN model can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is effective in cross-port relief circuits. It includes a remote pilot relief option on the vent port to control the valve below its own setting. This valve operates effectively despite varying oil temperatures and contamination, thanks to its robust design featuring a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen.
