The Sun Hydraulics SCCBLDN (SCCBLDN) is an atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve setting. This model integrates an internal check valve to facilitate reverse flow from port 2 to port 1, ensuring versatility in fluid control applications. It is particularly suitable for load-holding applications where a drain connection is impractical. The SCCBLDN features Sun's floating style construction, minimizing the risk of internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. With a cavity size of T-13A and a series capacity of 15 gpm (60 L/min), this sequence valve offers reliable performance under a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). The factory pressure settings are established at a flow rate of 2 in\u00b3/min (30 cc/min), with typical response times around 2 ms. Leakage at reseat is minimal, capped at 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min). The check cracking pressure is set at 40 psi (2.8 bar). For adjustments, the setting can be increased with approximately five full clockwise turns, and it features specific hex sizes for both the valve and adjustment screw: .78 inches (22.2 mm) and .53 inches (4 mm) respectively. The locknut hex size measures .916 inches (15 mm), requiring a torque between 80-90 lbf-in (9-10 Nm). Weighing just .30 lbs (.15 kg), this model is compact yet robust, making it an excellent choice for applications demanding precise pressure control without external venting requirements. Seal kits are available in Viton material under part number 990010006 for maintenance needs.

Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valves with reverse-flow check will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. Additionally, these valves incorporate an integral check valve to provide reverse flow from port 2 (sequence) to port 1 (inlet). The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent.

  • Suitable for use in load holding applications.
  • Atmospherically referenced valves should only be used where it is impossible have a drain connection. Over time, the atmospherically referenced valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber.
  • Approximately 1 drop (0,07 cc) of fluid will pass into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
