The Sun Hydraulics SCEBKAN (SCEBKAN) is an atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve with a reverse-flow check feature. This valve is designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve's set pressure. It incorporates an integral check valve that allows reverse flow from port 2 back to port 1. The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to atmospheric venting, making it suitable for load holding applications where a drain connection is impossible. However, it's important to note that over time, these valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber, with approximately one drop (0.07 cc) of fluid passing into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles. The SCEBKAN model features Sun's floating style construction, minimizing internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. It fits a T-5A cavity and supports a capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min). The factory pressure settings are established at 2 in/min (30 cc/min), with a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and a typical response time of 2 ms. Maximum valve leakage at reseat is limited to 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min), and it has a check cracking pressure of 25 psi (1.7 bar). Adjustment can be made through five clockwise turns to increase settings, using an internal hex adjustment screw size of 5/32 in (4 mm). The valve's installation torque ranges from 45-50 lbf ft (61-68 Nm), and it weighs approximately 0.60 lb (0.30 kg). For maintenance, a Viton seal kit is available under cartridge number 990203006.

Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valves with reverse-flow check will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. Additionally, these valves incorporate an integral check valve to provide reverse flow from port 2 (sequence) to port 1 (inlet). The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent.
