The Sun Hydraulics SCEBLAN (SCEBLAN) is an atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve featuring a reverse-flow check. This valve is designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses the valve setting. It includes an integral check valve that allows reverse flow from port 2 sequence to port 1 inlet. The pressure setting of this sequence valve manages the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent, making it suitable for load holding applications where drain connections are not feasible. Over time, these valves may experience external leakage or moisture ingress into the spring chamber, with approximately one drop (0.07 cc) of fluid entering the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles. The Sun SCEBLAN employs floating style construction to reduce the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. It fits into a T-5A cavity and supports a flow capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min), with maximum operating pressure reaching 5000 psi (350 bar). The typical response time is around 2 milliseconds, and it has a maximum valve leakage at reseat of 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min). The check cracking pressure stands at 25 psi (1.7 bar), with adjustments made via clockwise turns up to five and a half times to increase settings. This model requires specific installation torques: Valve Hex Size is 1-1/8 in. (28.6 mm) with an installation torque between 45 - 50 lbf ft (61 - 68 Nm); Adjustment Screw Internal Hex Size is 5/32 in. (4 mm); Locknut Hex Size is 9/16 in. (15 mm) with locknut torque ranging from 80 - 90 lbf in. (9 - 10 Nm). The model weighs approximately .60 lb (.30 kg) and uses Viton seal kits, specifically cartridge model number: 990203006.

Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valves with reverse-flow check will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. Additionally, these valves incorporate an integral check valve to provide reverse flow from port 2 (sequence) to port 1 (inlet). The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent.

  • Suitable for use in load holding applications.
  • Atmospherically referenced valves should only be used where it is impossible have a drain connection. Over time, the atmospherically referenced valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber.
  • Approximately 1 drop (0,07 cc) of fluid will pass into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
