The Sun Hydraulics SCEBLEV (SCEBLEV) is a high-performance, atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve with an integrated reverse-flow check feature. It is specifically designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet port 1 surpasses the preset valve setting. The valve's integral check valve enables reverse flow from port 2 to port 1. This sequence valve is ideal for load-holding applications and is constructed using Sun's floating style design, which minimizes internal binding due to installation torque or machining variations. The SCEBLEV has a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and can handle flow capacities up to 30 gpm (120 L/min). It features a typical response time of 2 milliseconds and allows for maximum valve leakage at reseat of 10 drops per minute (0.7 cc/min). The check cracking pressure is set at 25 psi (1.7 bar), and adjustments can be made with up to five full clockwise turns to increase the setting. The valve includes specific installation requirements such as a hex size of 1-1/8 inches (28.6 mm) and an installation torque range between 45 to 50 lbf-ft (61 to 68 Nm). For maintenance, it uses a Viton seal kit with model number 990203006. Note that atmospherically referenced valves like this one should only be used where drain connections are not feasible, as they may leak externally or allow moisture ingress over time, with approximately one drop passing into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.

Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valves with reverse-flow check will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. Additionally, these valves incorporate an integral check valve to provide reverse flow from port 2 (sequence) to port 1 (inlet). The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent.

  • Suitable for use in load holding applications.
  • Atmospherically referenced valves should only be used where it is impossible have a drain connection. Over time, the atmospherically referenced valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber.
  • Approximately 1 drop (0,07 cc) of fluid will pass into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
