The Sun Hydraulics SCEBLWN (SCEBLWN) is an atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve with a reverse-flow check feature. This valve is designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds the preset valve setting. It incorporates an integral check valve that allows reverse flow from port 2 to port 1, ensuring seamless operation in load-holding applications. The sequence valve's pressure setting controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent, making it ideal for situations where a drain connection is not feasible. However, users should be aware that atmospherically referenced valves may experience external leakage or moisture ingress into the spring chamber over time. The SCEBLWN model features Sun's floating style construction, minimizing internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations in cavity/cartridge interfaces. It fits a Cavity T-5A and has a series capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min) with a factory pressure setting established at 2 in/min (30 cc/min). The maximum operating pressure is rated at 5000 psi (350 bar), with typical response times around 2 ms and maximum valve leakage at reseat limited to 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min). The check cracking pressure stands at 25 psi (1.7 bar). Adjustment parameters include up to five clockwise turns for increasing settings, with specific torque requirements for installation and adjustment components: Valve Hex Size is 1-1/8 in. (28.6 mm), Installation Torque ranges from 45 - 50 lbf ft (61 - 68 Nm), Adjustment Screw Internal Hex Size is 5/32 in. (4 mm), Locknut Hex Size is 9/16 in. (15 mm), and Locknut Torque ranges from 80 - 90 lbf in. (9 -10 Nm). The model weighs approximately .60 lb (.30 kg) and employs Viton seals for optimal performance under various conditions.

Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valves with reverse-flow check will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. Additionally, these valves incorporate an integral check valve to provide reverse flow from port 2 (sequence) to port 1 (inlet). The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent.

  • Suitable for use in load holding applications.
  • Atmospherically referenced valves should only be used where it is impossible have a drain connection. Over time, the atmospherically referenced valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber.
  • Approximately 1 drop (0,07 cc) of fluid will pass into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
